- Worked with information services to establish a presence for Allina on the Internet. Led the selection and approval of medical resources on three Internet sites for Allina Health System directed to health plan members (http://www.medica.com), patients (http://www.allina.com) and the general population (http://www.medformation.com).  Designed content and participated in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Logician - an ambulatory care automated medical record system. Designed data reporting tools to improve care and efficiency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital using Eclipsys Continuum 2000 - an inpatient hospital information system. Designed and led physician CME sessions designed to educate them about information technology tools.  Served as a liaison between Information Services and the physician community. Continued to practice as a family physician.

- Practiced the full spectrum of family medicine in a single specialty Family Practice group that was the only clinic in a rural Minnesota town of 9600.  Provided full coverage for Saint Peters 24-bed community hospital.  Practice included outpatient obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics, adult and adolescent care, inpatient general medical, post-operative general surgical, orthopedic and obstetrical care, inpatient management of ICU patients, management and delivery of labor patients, solo coverage of hospital emergency room, county coroner responsibilities while on call, and staffing the health service at Gustavus Adolphus College.
